Information and non-medical support for seniors and their caregivers

Better at Home helps seniors with non-medical, day-to-day tasks so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their communities.

 

Better at Home is funded by the Government of B.C., administered by United Way British Columbia Healthy Aging, and delivered by Community Connections.

Better at Home Services:

  • Information/referrals to other community based senior services
  • Light housekeeping (paid on a sliding scale based on income)
  • BC Farmers Market Nutritional Coupon Program

  • Odd jobs/errands
  • Transportation to shopping and medical appointments
  • Grocery shopping assistance
  • Prepared food delivery
  • Light yard work
  • Snow shoveling
  • Minor home repairs
  • Social Connections (telephone, virtual, face-to-face, individual or small groups)
  • 50+ Angel Tree Christmas Project
