Cranbrook Public Produce Garden
We grow food, gardeners and community
JUMP TO: Contact Us | Location | Check-In | Events
The Public Produce Garden is a community-managed, free, public space that aims to increase food security and local food education. From seeding to weeding to harvesting, all tasks are considered equal. This garden grows food and gardeners – everyone is welcome!
Some reminders:
- Keep the gate closed and deer out.
- Lend your skills and leave the garden in better shape than you found it.
- Check the whiteboard before beginning work.
- Harvest only what you can eat in a day – look at the signs to know what’s ready to pick.
- Compostable food items go in the bins at the back. Read all signage to know what goes where and help us feed the garden with good compost.
work sessions
We host regular work sessions (“work bees”) where you can meet other volunteers, learn gardening skills, and help with priority tasks.
- Tuesdays: 1 PM to 3 PM (Spring and Fall) or 9 AM – 11 AM (July and August)
- Thursdays: 10 AM to 12 PM
- Saturdays: 10 AM to 12 PM
Check-In at the Garden
