Community Action Program for Children (CAPC)

Groups for families with children ages 0-6, in Cranbrook and Kimberley

The Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) program offers a variety of free, drop-in groups for families with children ages 0-6 in Cranbrook and Kimberley.

 

Parent participation/supervision is required at all CAPC programs.

groups

Cranbrook:

  • Tumble Time
    • for families with children ages 0 to 6. It is an unstructured group where children can run, climb, and play with parent/caregiver supervision.
  • Wiggle, Giggle and Grow
    • Join us for a nutritious snack, play with toys, create crafts, sing songs, read stories, and meet other families.
  • Ball Play
    • An unstructured group, where children can run, play with balls, parachute play and more.

Kimberley:

  • Treehouse Family Supper Night

The Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) is federally funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada and delivered by Community Connections Society of Southeast BC.

CAPC was created in 1993 in response to Canada’s agreement at the United Nations World Summit for Children in 1990, to invest in the well-being of children.
