Community Connections Society of Southeast BC Administration
Community Connections Society of Southeast BC administration main location is at 209A 16 th Ave North Cranbrook BC and is the location of the
offices of the Executive Director and the Finance Department.
Information and Support for Seniors and Their Caregivers
Supporting the non-medical needs of older adults in B.C.
Better at Home is a program that helps seniors with simple non-medical, day-to-day tasks so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their communities.
United Way British Columbia Healthy Aging administers the Better at Home program throughout B.C., supporting over 85 non-profit organizations who deliver Better at Home in over 260 communities.
Information and Support for Women
The Women’s Resource Centre provides advocacy, lay counselling, information and referrals. The Women’s Centre works to improve the status of women and their families through direct service provision and by advocating for social and systemic change. Events are organized by staff at the centre. Frequently events are organized in collaboration with other community agencies or groups.
Legal Information and Referrals Including Legal Aid
The Community Partner program provides access to public legal education and information (PLEI) materials, acts as a link between Legal Aid BC and people who need to apply for legal aid services and raises awareness in the community of Legal Aid and other resources that can help resolve legal issues.

Housing Support Including Rental Subsidies
Homeless Outreach has been in operation in Cranbrook since November 2008. Homeless Outreach serves community members who are experiencing or are at risk of some level of homelessness. The purpose of this program is to provide assistance to singles, couples and families in seeking, obtaining and maintaining housing. Homeless Outreach endeavours to connect street involved, marginalized, transient and new Cranbrookites to services in Cranbrook.
Shelter
Taking the next step beyond homelessness
Step Beyond is expected to open in Spring 2022 and will provide 40 shelter beds. We will provide 24/7 supports, meals, planned education opportunities, etc. This shelter will include an overdose prevention room for residents of the shelter.
